ChargePoint gives a fast charge to a mobile phone for just £1, and is suitable for a wide variety of locations where people are away from home and want to keep in-touch.

How does it work?

ChargePoint uses pulse charging technology to provide a faster charge than would be available through trickle chargers such as those provided by the phone manufacturers. Pulse charging is a well proven charging method and does not damage the phone battery.

ChargePoint is really easy to use:

1. Connect your phone to one of the charging leads (don’t worry there are a variety of connector types so nearly all phones are suitable). A red light will show above the charging bay when your phone is connected and waiting to charge.

2. Put a £1 coin into the coin slot. The red light will go green to show that your phone is charging. You can use the phone while it is charging, and you can disconnect the phone at any time if you have topped up the phone with enough charge.

3. When the charging time is up the light will go back to red and you can disconnect your phone.

A typical mobile phone can remain on standby for up to 8 hours with just a £1 charge from a ChargePoint, but it does depend on the age and type of the phone and battery.

There are three different charging bays so ChargePoint can charge up to 3 phones at a time.

If you know somewhere that should have a ChargePoint then please contact us and we will try to persuade them!
